Gregory V. Ginex
Bollinger Connolly Krause LLC
Products liability, Professionalliability, general tort litigation

Gregory Ginex has that rarest of combinations: a brilliant legal mind with a tireless work ethic.

It’s a combination that has served Ginex, an attorney with Chicago’s Bollinger Connolly Krause, well. During his relatively short career, Ginex has earned a reputation as one of the most skillful products liability and professional liability experts in the Chicago area.

And Ginex’s peers say that this young attorney has plenty of additional success ahead of him.

“Greg is exceptionally bright,” said David Barry, with Chicago’s Corboy & Demetrio. “He pairs his insightful mind with an extraordinary work ethic, and the results have been superb for his clients. He has become a terrific product liability defense lawyer.”

During his young career, Ginex has taken on several complicated cases, earning positive results for his clients. This includes the work he has done defending one of his largest clients, a global industry leader in industrial automation and machine safeguarding, in cases involving press control and opto-electric devices.

Ginex also defended the marketer of a synthetic thoroughbred horse-racing surface that allegedly caused two jockeys to suffer paraplegia after falling from their horses during a race. In addition, he is currently defending the maker of a cryogenic freezer controller that allegedly malfunctioned, causing the loss of reproductive tissue for more than sixty plaintiffs.

Ginex’s peers say they aren’t surprised at the steady amount of work, and new clients, that this young attorney attracts. Ginex works hard for his clients, never taking shortcuts on the way to forming a defense strategy for them.

He also shines equally in the courtroom and while writing opinions and preparing cases for trial.

“Greg has a unique ability to be both a zealous advocate, within the bounds of law, for his clients and a consensus builder between adverse if not contentious parties,” said Michael Demetrio with Corboy & Demetrio. “These are talents that much older attorneys usually do not possess. Greg comes by his talents both via a very high intellect and an impressive work ethic.”

In addition to his work on multi-million-dollar defense cases, Ginex handles most appeals for his firm. His peers say that he is equally skilled in this arena.

Brian Monico, with Chicago’s Burke Wise Morrissey Kaveny, pointed to the appellate work that Ginex engaged in during Petraski V. Thedos.

Monico referred to Ginex’s time during this appeal as “an extraordinary undertaking in examining the law and civil procedure.”

“Mr. Ginex is very creative, and has a tremendous ability to break down complex arguments so the jury can understand them,” Monico said. “Whenever I have a question on law or procedure, Greg is always my first call. I respect his abilities and knowledge.”

Ginex is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Justinian Society of Lawyers and Illinois State Bar Association. He has given presentations at the Chicago Bar Association, Chicago-Kent College of Law and Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
