Stretching is important after your run because it helps with flexibility and range of motion. It may also help reduce your soreness. A light workout a day after a hard workout will help blood flow and enhance recovery. I would recommend swimming or cycling after a hard running workout. Most importantly, get a lot of sleep. This is critical for your full recovery.
