A state appeals court has allowed a man’s lawsuit over the disposal of an amputated leg to advance against a suburban hospital and its on-staff rabbi. In March 2011, Moshe Lefkowitz underwent surgery at Skokie Hospital to amputate his left leg below the knee. Following the surgery, the hospital incinerated the leg.
