High court suspends lawyer three months over mishandling of trust

The Illinois Supreme Court has declined to expand the application of its landmark 2013 lawyer-discipline case that held that professional discipline must be tied to a specific rule violation. The ruling came Thursday as the high court suspended the law license of Peoria lawyer John P.
