SPRINGFIELD — The state’s top court today deflected the Chicago Bears’ attempt to avoid a $4.1 million tax bill it owes to Cook County. It’s one of 84 civil and 116 criminal cases the Illinois Supreme Court announced today it will not review. The justices also denied one other civil case with instructions for a lower court.
