Panel urges year suspension for mishandling client funds

An attorney who mishandled $125,000 in client funds due to poor bookkeeping practices should have his law license suspended for one year with seven months stayed, according to a recommendation from a lawyer-disciplinary panel.The Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Hearing Board recommended last week that Allen A Lefkovitz, president of Allen A Lefkovitz & Associates P.C., be suspended for one year, with the last seven months stayed by an 18-month period of probation with conditions.Lefkovitz, 65 …
