Chicago Lawyer, this newspaper’s sister publication, publishes its most-coveted issue of the year — featuring our 40 Under Forty edition and The Settlements Report — in October. In partnership with Jury Verdict Reporter, the Law Bulletin teams are busy behind the scenes gathering, analyzing and designing the edition.
This year’s issue will chronicle the top settlements, and include verdict and settlement trend analyses.
To highlight more of the cases that have been settled across the state, we’re making a change to the report this year. We will be expanding the range of settlement amounts below $2 million.
The other procedures regarding submissions will remain the same:
- Submissions for consideration in the October report must have been submitted to the Jury Verdict Reporter and/or Chicago Daily Law Bulletin between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016.
- This year’s report will again include confidential settlements submitted to and accepted by the Jury Verdict Reporter.
