Lawyer suspended for converting $100K from client account

A Rock Island attorney has been temporarily suspended after an attorney discipline board recommended he be disbarred for intentionally converting $100,000 in escrow funds he was supposed to hold in a client trust account.The Illinois Supreme Court ordered on July 18 that Francis J. Coyle Jr., 69, be suspended on an interim basis and until further order of the court.The decision comes after an Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Hearing Board recommended in March that Coyle be disbarred, finding he had …
