My lifting partner and I did a test day of our maxes in various lifts in early June. Since then, we have been on a high-volume recovery program.This past week, we went back to heavier weights and lower volume. Each of us noted 20- to 25-pound diminishments on our heavy sets for doubles from what we did in April.The recovery period is designed to build up connective tissue and to add longevity to our ability to lift.
