Couple settles for $2.9M after crash

An elderly couple who suffered injuries in a rear-end crash settled its lawsuit Wednesday for $2.9 million.Plaintiffs Phillip and Rose Davis sued Home Towne Electric Inc., Home Towne Leasing Inc. and Joshua Green in Lake County Circuit Court in 2015, alleging Green failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles before crashing into their vehicle that October.Home Towne is located outside Round Lake.The Davises — who were traveling west on State Route 173 in Antioch — were the fourth car in a line of …
