ARDC: Lawyer used $20K of clients’ escrow

An attorney discipline panel has called for a Chicago attorney to be disbarred for allegedly converting more than $20,000 of clients’ escrow funds, practicing while unauthorized and creating fraudulent court documents.In a report filed on March 27, an Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Hearing Board recommended that sole practitioner Beth Courtney Otero, 39, be disbarred.
