Firm, attorney sanctioned $75K in Boeing filings

A firm that’s known for seeking damages on behalf of plane crash victims’ families has been sanctioned by a Cook County judge for filing an improper petition.The sanction comes after the Boeing Co. argued the firm was using the petition to try to attract publicity and clients.Cook County Associate Judge William Edward Gomolinski last month entered a sanction of $75,110.25 against Ribbeck Law Chtd. for filing an unnecessary Illinois Supreme Court Rule 224 petition.
