ARDC review calls for penalty for practicing while suspended

An Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Hearing Board has recommended that Oak Park attorney Marlin E. Kirby be suspended for five months for allegedly representing a client during a sentencing hearing when he was unauthorized to practice.In a 22-page report filed on Thursday, the board found that Kirby engaged in misconduct when he continued to represent a client in a sentencing hearing in June 2014 after he had been suspended from practicing by the Illinois Supreme Court a few weeks earlier.According to …
