UIC in talks with John Marshall Law School over merger

For the second time in the past 20 years, the University of Illinois at Chicago is considering a merger with The John Marshall Law School.Leadership officials at UIC and John Marshall are in “preliminary discussions” that could lead to the creation of the first public law school in Chicago.The announcement was made in a campuswide message issued Monday by UIC Chancellor Michael Amiridis and Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Susan Poser.John Marshall Dean Darby Dickerson said Chicago is the …
