Supreme Court disbars three; eight suspended or censured

The Illinois Supreme Court has entered orders disciplining 11 attorneys.The orders entered last week for the court’s January term include three attorneys who were disbarred on consent, five who received suspension and three who were censured.M. Katherine Burgess, of Oak Brook, was disbarred on consent after she misappropriated $32,849.34 in settlement funds that she was holding in her trust account pending distribution to the heirs of an estate.She also falsely advised the estate’s prior attorney that she …
